Teryn Buna completed her Master of Physical Therapy at UBC after a BSc (Hons) in Exercise & Health Physiology at the University of Calgary. She has since continued to pursue further studies in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. She is currently working as an APA Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in a private orthopaedic in Sydney, Australia. Outside the clinic, Teryn enjoys keeping active by playing Ultimate Frisbee, running, and adventuring around Australia.
Dr William Cherniak
Family and Emergency Physician
William Cherniak is a Family and Emergency physician working in the Greater Toronto and Baltimore Area. He is passionate about sustainable and equitable global health development and is actively involved in research into maternal and child health, global health education and collaborative programming. He is currently the Executive Director and a CoFounder of Bridge to Health Medical and Dental, a Canadian humanitarian organization working in Sub-Saharan East Africa, is a Lecturer at the University of Toronto in the Department of Family and Community Medicine and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California. He recently completed a Masters in Public Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with a concentration in health in crisis and humanitarian assistance. He is currently consulting on different projects around health-systems research and development in Washington, DC with the Center for Global Health at the US National Cancer Institute/NIH.
Dr Robert Dale

Robert was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. He completed an Honours degree in Western University in Ontario before coming back to BC to complete medical school and residency at the University of British Columbia. He has an interest in men’s health promotion and education.
Dr Nathan Finkbeiner
Inpatient Psychiatrist and Consultant
After completing his Bachelor of science degree in pharmacology at the University of Alberta, Nathan Finkbeiner studied medicine and completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Calgary. He is presently working as an inpatient psychiatrist in Calgary, as well as a consultant to a number of sports medicine physicians. His interest in athletics-related concussion stems from his background in various sports, including hockey and lacrosse.
Dr Ryan Flannigan
Dr. Ryan Flannigan is a Urologist out of Vancouver, BC who is sub-specialized in Andrology, Sexual Medicine, Male Reproduction and Men’s Health. Dr. Flannigan completed his fellowship training at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York and has a strong presence within the medical community both clinically and academically. He is the recipient of several distinguished national and international academic and research awards. His research interests include investigating genetic mechanisms associated with male infertility, performing clinical trials in Andrology and exploring ways to optimize health of Canadian men. Dr. Flannigan strives for work life balance and enjoys cycling, running, and crossfit.
Dr Stacy Flannigan
Dr. Stacy Flannigan is an inpatient psychiatrist working in Vancouver, BC, Canada. She is passionate about promoting exercise as a tool to improve mental health, utilizing knowledge from her degrees in in exercise physiology and medicine. Dr. Flannigan has won teaching awards in psychiatry and continues to be an active member in the community, both professionally and athletically.

Dr Connor Forbes is a resident in Urology at the Department of Urologic Sciences at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. His interest in getting men talking about their health drew him to contribute to Manopedia. In his spare time he plays soccer and takes in the great outdoors.
Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia
Gordon completed his BSc in Food, Nutrition and Health (Dietetics) with Honours at the University of British Columbia and completed his integrated dietetic internship with Fraser Health. He is a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and an active member of the Dietitians of Canada. He is passionate about preventative health and helping folks develop healthier relationships with food. In his spare time, he enjoys keeping fit, experimenting in the kitchen, and navigating the world of social media. Gordon also volunteers with the Canadian Diabetes Association summer camp for kids with Type 1 Diabetes.
Dr Supreet Maan
Supreet was born in Penticton, BC and grew up watching her dad taking care of animals in his veterinary practice. She completed a Bachelors degree as well as medical school at the University of British Columbia. She completed her Family Medicine residency training in Edmonton. Currently she is working as a staff physician at various clinic in the Vancouver and Victoria area.
Dr Karim Marzouk
Fellowship in urologic oncology at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center
Karim Marzouk is a native of St. John’s, Newfoundland. He completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at Memorial University of Newfoundland. He went on to complete his surgical training in urology at Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS, and became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in 2016. His clinical and research interests are in urologic oncology, specifically cancers of the prostate, kidney, testis, and bladder. Currently he is completing a subspecialty fellowship in urologic oncology at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
Dr Premal Patel
Urology residency at the University of Manitoba
Premal grew up in Saint John, New Brunswick and obtained his Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Ottawa. He then went on to the University of Calgary where he obtained his medical degree. In 2013 he joined the Urology residency program at the University of Manitoba.

Paul Sharp is a PhD student and Research Coordinator at the University of British Columbia. His research interests are in population health promotion, men’s health, and obesity, with a focus on the design and implementation of health interventions. He has contributed to the development of several evidence-based interventions targeted at physical activity, healthy eating, psychological wellbeing, and smoking cessation. With a passion for putting research into practice, Paul hopes to synthesize research evidence into practical and tangible recommendations to support the health and well-being of Canadian men.

Dr. Henry Tran is a graduate from the UBC Urology Residency program in 2016. He was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and completed his undergraduate degree program in Computer Engineering from UBC. He completed a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine, Dysfunctional Voiding and Reconstructive Urology at Columbia University Medical Center in New York in 2016-2017. He currently practices Urology at Providence Health Care at St Paul’s Hospital and Mount St. Joseph’s Hospital in Vancouver.
Dr Leila Barss
B.Sc. in Exercise and Health Physiology and MD at the University of Calgary
Leila Barss was born and raised in Calgary, AB, Canada. She completed both her B.Sc. in Exercise and Health Physiology and MD at the University of Calgary. She spent three years in Winnipeg completing her Internal Medicine residency and recently completed her Pulmonary Medicine training at the University of Calgary. She is currently pursuing further training in the areas of tuberculosis and then plans to return work with the University of Calgary Division of Pulmonary Medicine.
